Indeed, if Democrats are to be held responsible for murders/crimes by illegals, what of Republican culpability? The Las Vegas shooter used a 'bump stock', which the Republicans refused to ban. They also refuse to implement reasonable gun laws to prevent people of obtaining military grade weapons.

Because people like you have no idea that 'military grade weapons' means absolutely NOTHING and 'reasonable gun laws' have been in place for years.
Democrats are complicit in any murders committed by ILLEGALS that they refuse to deport and actively protect. Illegals, otherwise known as criminals or lawbreakers. Only a liberal would try to equate that to someone owning a legal tool. But liberals have always had problems understanding the difference between "legal" and "illegal".
Anyone with a brain KNOWS that illegal are, well, illegal and have caused all sorts of problems and have committed MANY murders, rapes, etc.

democrats in some states, like California, are fighting the deportation of illegal felons, thwarting efforts by ICE to detain these felons, and demanding law enforcement and business employers look the other way when these illegal felons are deported and return to their state. this assertion by trump that some democrat political leaders in sanctuary cities and state are complicit in the violent crimes committed by these illegals is true.
