for an elected President at 38.4%, nearly 11 points behind the next lowest (Bill Clinton 49.3%).

When all years of presidential approval polling are considered, Trump’s first year is the 9th lowest of all-time.

His level of support among independents is also the worst ever recorded for a first year elected President.

His level of support among Democrats (8%) is nearly 3 times lower than the abysmal level Republican support the for Barack Obama at the same time frame (23%).

It’s a basis of comparison with all other elected presidents since WW2.

I don't buy into the biased/politically motivated polls, even when they mirror my position. They are after all typically run by the MSM, thus have major leftist influence.

Regardless, it is little wonder why Trump's numbers might really be low, considering the constant assault on Trump (at least 9-1 negative) by the liberal/leftist/socialist media.

Not that I am comparing, but not even Gandhi or Mother Theresa could withstand the constant hatred, and still have their virtues/accomplishments be extolled.
Fortunately most of middle America knows the polls are tools of the leftist swamp, designed to diminish the conservatives, and prop up the liberals.

We have seen it since the 1960's with no end in sight.

It won't matter that the same polling, with the same margins of error, are in use for Trump that have been in use for Presidents past. And it won't matter to his followers, either, who refuse to believe anything that is not heaping praise on their Dear Leader.

It is quite interesting that not only is he the worst, but he is the worst by a mile.

38.4%. Damn.

I don't think that anyone would be surprised about that.

It's difficult for me to accept that Trump's poll ratings are as high as they are. Maybe all the polls have been hacked in his favor? If the Russians could skew things enough to get him elected, why not also be able to do it to the polls? Will we ever escape from this fantasy world and become a functional country again?

Why don't you apologize for cheating so shamelessly? Using your media monopoly to spread vile lies to change public opinion? You've been doing it for decades, and it's wrong. It's successful, but it's very, very wrong. Don't be snarky. Just admit that your side wins by cheating. Then maybe we can talk about a rapprochement. Or at least a peaceful separation.
