She signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA), preventing her from spilling what happened between them. That NDA doesn’t prevent her from lying (on paper or verbally) as long as she doesn’t tell what really happened between them.

It’s not unfathomable for her to lie to stop all the questions.

There may have been a business deal with money exchanging hands, but the motive she clearly states was not what she is accused of. Denying verbally all day long, of coarse. But lying on paper carries a much different liability and will ruin you.
