Wow--you sound bitter..bitter and hopeless...people cant really whine about Trump being rude, by being rude themselves--that makes them bitter hypocrites
No one is whining about Trump’s rudeness. We are, in fact, laughing at your hypocrisy in getting offended by others’ lack of respect for Trump, while supporting the same behavior from the Toddler-in-Chief.
If someone in a professional position can act in such an unprofessional way to Trump then they can do it to Clinton, Obama, the Dalai Lama or anyone else in a position of power or prestige, or just a normal everyday visitor. Which would be just as disgraceful. It is expected of people who have no couth, but we must have some standards of respectability from people in public professions. Otherwise we are sinking to raging animalistic values, or lack thereof. If you are fine with that then I feel sorry for future generations.

Yup. Just a subset of "it's OK when a Republican does it".
Before he was president, and since, Trump has positioned himself as the person who pulls no punches, and has never hesitated to get extremely rude and personal in his insults. His supporters have not only egged him on, but proudly declared that it's one of the main reasons they like him.
The Guggenheim's offer was a masterful, layered insult. No wonder you're all jealous. Makes Trump's remarks about various women's appearances look like the juvenile kindergarten-level insults that they are.
I realize that because I read the article. And so? The point still remains what difference does it make why it was requested? Maybe the President likes that painting.
Presidential powers do not extend to making PRIVATE museums give them any stuff they want.

Sorry. That horse left the barn long ago. Neither Trump nor anyone else can clamor to become a public figure in part because it provides a much better platform from which to lob grenades and then whine because it also makes him a better target for other peoples' grenades.
