Maxine Waters is an old school race hustler who hurts the Democrat cause every time she opens her mouth. Yes she has a small following of haters that hang on her every word, but the Democrats need to appeal to the middle of the political spectrum if they want to win elections. Extremists like her turn off moderates. Trump won with support of conservatives and moderates. Whoever claims the moderates is the one who wins elections. Nobody can do it with just conservatives or just liberals. Waters speaks only to a fringe on the left.
I thought Joe Kennedy III was giving the official response.

Beyond his name, he's a nobody in the Democrat party these days. The fact that Waters, Lewis, Pelosi, Schumer, or any of the corrupt leadership of that party refuses to go on camera to give the rebuttal speaks volumes for how out of touch they are with real America. They know it, and hope what Democrats are left don't notice it.
Or the guy a few years ago who expressed concern that Guam may tip over.
How about the one who wanted NASA to point the camera of the Mars rover on the American flag that the astronauts planted when they landed.
