January 11, 2018 IRS issued a press release saying that the new tables have been issued. i would think payroll software updates would be available not long afterwards (most payroll is automated now isn't it?),

This is amazing to hear. I get my paycheck Friday and hope to have similar results as you. When is the last time something came out of Washington that actually helped the middle class? We needed this

New withholding is out but not the more accurate W-4. People with multiple sources of family income, large families, and those who had substantial deductions in prior years could be in for a rude awakening. The best thing to do is to find a good tax calculator online and compute your new tax bill assuming no deductions. About 10% of middle class workers/retirees according to published reports will find that they are going to actually be paying a little more come April 15, 2020 and now is the time to put that money aside along what extra you find in your paycheck.

Your side is the only one jumping up and down about this YUGE tax cut that is going to make us all go out and buy speakers and new cars. We, on the left, know it is a temporary little bit of nothing for us, and a permanent YUGE tax cut for the rich.

As for "supporting illegals", that is another myth propagated by the Right. The vast majority of them actually WORK to support themselves at jobs you and I will not do. All of them would work if we didn't hunt them down like dogs and try to ship them back.

Unless you are one of those people who think you can just waltz your way into the ER and get treated without paying anything.
Just say you are an illegal and you'll get free care. That's how it is at the hospital my wife works at

Takes several weeks. Payroll system coding is what needs changing to mimic IRS released tables.
IRS does not release the coding , just the tables.

February was the expected payroll software mod date. A few, including our provider, beat that target.
