So how does this change things?

Quote:
The FBI inquiry into alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 US presidential election has been given a second memo that independently set out some of the same allegations made in a dossier by Christopher Steele, the British former spy.
The second memo was written by Cody Shearer, a controversial political activist and former journalist who was close to the Clinton White House in the 1990s.

Unlike Steele, Shearer does not have a background in espionage, and his memo was initially viewed with scepticism, not least because he had shared it with select media organisations before the election.
However, the Guardian has been told the FBI investigation is still assessing details in the ‘Shearer memo’ and is pursuing intriguing leads.

Another Clinton operative? How many are there?

When a story in the Guardian has to fess up that they're leading with a "controversial political activist", that is more than enough warning that what follows is lies.

This is expected, the dems are trying to do damage control, but it's too late.

This second dossier has been around the entire time, why are they just now talking about it? LoL

Expect every manner of desperate deflections in the next few days.

Yes, but it ignores facts and goes full on with the cognitive reinforcement that the left looks for. Nah, no bias on a report from a Hillary operative and Democratic supporter. None whatsoever.

I expect this will lead on CNN and MSNBC today to try to divert from the FISA memo.

That's what I think too. They needed a distraction and this fits the bill. Everyone but Fox will probably lead with this and the memo will be treated as old news before it is even released.

I've been looking into who Cody Shearer is.

His family is connected to the Clintons including a late sister who worked for HRC, and a brother who was an ambassador under Bill.

He is one of three intelligence gathers for HRC.

Whether his dossier is independent confirmation or just a copy of Steele's is a good question.

The Guardian reports he submitted his in October 2016 before the general public knew of Steele's.

It's not "Buttery Mail," so it probably won't change a thing for the fact free Fox folks.

Unlike what many thought, this story many in the British press is being largely ignored by US MSM.

The only value it has is if:

#1 Shearer's claims were independent of Steele's.

#2 Shearer has some evidence to back up his claims.

Now we have Dick Morris saying that Cody Shearer may have been the main author of the Steele dossier:

https://www.westernjournal.com/did-c...eeles-dossier/

Morris suggests that Shearer wrote his dossier first, making up lurid tales as he went along, and then handed it to Steele to publish under his own name because Steele had far more credibility.
