But wow...think about this..your defense to trump acting like he is the sole power and ruler of the country is to accuse the side pointing this out, of being war hawks.

This is a new level of desperation in the responses here that I rarely see.
listen closely, foreign policy is decided by the commander-in-chief, not the legislative branch.

the only reason they're doing it because defense contractors are making a killing off of escalated tensions with Russia and people like Adam Schiff are pocket your dollars.

No, listen closely. Foreign policy may be decided in Russia that way, but here in the US foriegn policy is not 100% in the presidents hands. The president shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties.

This was not a treaty. And Trump DID make a lw-by and with the consent of the senate who passed this law, that he signed. Even if I took your argument and went with it, the thing has been signed into law. Presidents do not get to ignore that.

Wow....blood thirsty maniacs.....for wanting a law passed by congress and signed by Trump to actually be enforced....

Wait...in this same thread someone goes on about Trump buying weapons for the Ukraine, and bombing the airfield in Syria......while another calls the other side bloodthirsty maniacs for wanting to use sanctions instead of weapons........

You folks amaze me at the lengths you are all going to avoid actually talking about the topic.

Senate and House Pass laws...including sanctions on other nations if need be...This was done in a completely bi-partisan way.

POTUS signs the passed legislation into law...45 did this.

Therefore, 45 must enforce this law or he is refusing to follow his constitutional duty as POTUS...by not enforcing the sanctions, he is breaking the oath of office.
If Obama had been doing this, you anti-american trumpers would be totally up in arms. If He didn't want these sanctions, he could have veto'd them...yes, Congress would have over ridden that veto but if he truly believed they were not in our best interest, it's what he should have done.

The dictatorship that is the new America. You scorn royalty but worship rich autocrats. The conundrum is confusing.

What part of the law do you think he isn't enforcing?

That has yet to be explained in this Derangement topic based on nonsense conjured up by a NBC pundit.

So of course Trump and his administration refuse, claiming that the act of passing the sanctions was sufficient deterrent. This was their truly hilarious defense of not enforcing the law that was passed:

This of course is utter nonsense. This is the president refusing to enforce the laws as passed. This was a softball law passed so that the president could demonstrate that he wasn't beholden to the Russians. And he has failed.

Those of you who claimed Obama acted lawlessly with his executive orders have been silent about Trump doing so. Are you going to be silent now as he fails to enforce the law? The law he signed as it was veto proof? Will you make excuses? Or do you simply prefer having him as our king with no limits on his power?
You declare a strategy you know nothing about behind the scenes, 'utter nonsense'. So by your declaration you contend trump is refusing to enforce the law?

Good luck with that legal logic outside the coven of democrat hysteria.

the 'laws' restrict Trump's ability to effectively deal with our enemies in his demonstrated effective style.

Obama did the same thing, hoping to influence putin in returning the favor.

Of course Obama declared Russia was not our enemy as he let them muck with government databases, reneged on defensive missiles to Poland to please putin, let putin get a foothold in the middle east, annex crimea, buy uranium and 'Barack Obama praises Putin for help clinching Iran deal ...'. Then Obama asks Putin to help him in Syria...'President Barack Obama has asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to help de-escalate the fighting in both Syria and Ukraine.' then there was the careless whisper message to pass on to Putin.

Obama knew Hillary was exposing classified date to Russia china, NK, Israel, Pakistan, etc. His typical sit on his hands strategy when it came to putin and Russia put our country at risk.

While it is established Russia messes with government databases, it was Obama himself who declared our elections could not be hacked.

So our intel says Russian posters were passing false information to disrupt the elections. Well that was money wasted as there were enough legit US posters who drowned out any squeak from Russian hackers.
Hillary lost the election because she expected to be crowned the next novelty election winner. Not because of anything Russian stooges spread on the internet and social media.

Apparently you cry for laws to be executed but go hysterical when laws you don't like are enforced.

Just like the 911 bipartisan commission coming up with knee jerk solutions GWB approved. emotion overcomes common sense and no politician will take a stand for sanity. Trump has the courage.

the evidence is overwhelming that Obama was out of his league dealing with Putin. Trump uses the same strategy because he plays putin like a violin. You should watch the old redford movie, 'the sting' to get an insight into how trump plays his opponents.

The bumper sticker depth insight into Trump's actions as opined in the op is naïve to be kind, destructive to be sure. Putin is cheering you on, your check is in the mail.
