He said he will fix the problem with mass arrests. Easy. The addresses are right on the packages,

"Drug firms shipped 20.8 million opioids to WV town with 2,900 people"

When do you think he will jail the 100's of dealers in the Pharma industry doing this?

MILLIONS of pills. Why isn't he calling them evil and wanting to KILL them? They are KILLING thousands of Americans.

The sad truth is this is Capitalism....and Trump and all the Corporate community approves. In fact, they wish it was 100 million.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

Problem is, I bet the Pharmaceutical industry has a lot of lobbyists and they are heavy donors. You don't bite the hand that feeds you if you are a politician.

Between 2006 and 2016, drug wholesalers shipped 10.2 million hydrocodone doses and 10.6 million oxycodone doses to Tug Valley Pharmacy and Hurley Drug in Williamson, according to DEA data obtained by the House Committee.
Over the past decade.

Where was Obama's concern?

That's crony capitalism or socialism. Not real capitalism.

Nobody will be held accountable here. There will be a fine which is simply considered a cost of doing business. Just like the mafia having to pay off a few judges and cops.

Get caught with a little pot and you get arrested. No one will get arrested here despite what should be obvious to everyone but the excuses will fly from many.

The culprit here isn't "Big Pharma" but the medical doctors that write the prescriptions.

What do you expect "Big Pharma" to do, check your personal medical records to insure your personal medical doctor has a valid reason to write you a prescription? Is that what you really want? You want "Big Pharma" to have access to everyone's medical records so they can insure their product isn't being misused?

And then there are those that need it... like dying from cancer... I suppose we withhold their pain medication?

A number of Florida doctors lost their medical licenses and I personally know one doctor that lost their license to practice medicine AND went to federal prison for five years. On their part it was greed because working in a "pain clinic" they made lots and lots of money evidenced by the beautiful home they owned in the Florida Keys but that home came at a very steep price. His future.

The DEA needs to check out the doctors in West Virginia and sting em like they did in Florida. They do that and this garbage will end real fast.

What exactly does an MD who lost his license do for a job once they leave federal prison?

So easy to blame the drug companies but the ultimate blame lies with those idiots that abuse the stuff.
