I think most americans are overpaid anyways. Have you seen how hard people work in 3rd world factories?
Have you seen how one factory worker in the US does more work than dozens in the third world? Its called productivity. If it was as simple as you make it out to be, then there would be no factories in the US.

Productivity is high here only in terms of dollars, which is distorted.
The same Indian programmer makes 10 times more here than in India, but actually he writes the same code.
So you're saying people are entitled to wage X at hour Y? In this case the same wages for fewer hours of work because of starvation, health care, cost of living etc.
No I am saying most people do not get the option of working 35 hours a week and doing halfway okay in the US. There are always exceptions including one above named Dbones.
I don’t see how this is a win for liberals... work 28 hours and get paid 28 hours... translates that there isn’t enough work to keep you for 40 hours...
1. they have the OPTION of working 28 hours.... and getting paid 28 hours
2. the USA has that option also... its called part-time work
3. median household income in Germany is about 33k, compared to the USA at 60k
4. Average monthly disposable salary...Germany=$2,851.85 ... USA=$3,258.85
5. average Basic utilities cost.... Germany = $253.23 ...... USA = $162.08 .... utilities cost 56% more in Germany
cost of living is slightly higher in Germany compared to USA...and the median household income is lower.... 28 hours will not be enough for the individual German to support himself/herself on
but if that is what they want.... let them have at it
If the median household income is almost half of what it is in the USA, and the cost of living higher, how do they end up with close to the same disposable income ?
