The state has the age of consent set at 16, and additional restrictions which apparently apply to any school employee or even the spouse of an employee against sex with older teens. What is your objection?
Well, obviously you're sick in the head if you think that's okay - but based on the article, it's an interesting premise to state that teachers are being singled out when in every other profession it's not questioned since the age of consent is 16.
It's no more sick then men having carnal knowledge with each other.

I'm sure there is plenty of questioning and loss of reputation, but it's not prosecuted as a legal offense.
Not really. According to Wikipedia - Each U.S. state (and the District of Columbia) has its own age of consent. Currently state laws set the age of consent at 16, 17, or 18.By far (at least 30 states) the most common age is 16. Most states in addition have close-in-age exceptions that allow teenagers younger than the general age of consent to engage in consensual sex as long as their partners are close in age to themselves.
