Also, I'm sure in a real war between Republicans and Democrats. It wouldn't be a war for Dems, it would be an immediate slaughter

Why does anyone keep paying any attention to what this person says?

Why are Meat head's opinions on politics considered newsworthy?

Why are you wasting bandwidth posting it?

We really don't. It's foisted on us without being asked. The power of the media far outweighs the individual.

I am just surprised the OP didn't call Meat Head a "lib icon".

If it ever came down to that, I have a feeling the republicans would be in for a nasty surprise.

Same as the wars fought on this board. You better come with facts rather than your preconceived notions.

Reiner is an idiot. Apparently he is unaware of the corruption that existed in the Obama administration, which is still being "peeled back" as every day reveals more "players" involved in a conspiracy (with the help of Russian operatives) to influence the outcome of the election in Hillary's favor. Obama himself is now clearly being implicated by texts between Strzok and Page, and this skunk may be among those indicted before this is through.

My thoughts are that you have no interest in anyone's thoughts.

You really do, as evidenced by how many sad little threads your buddies start on a daily basis about celebrities.

Rob Reiner is just another outspoken far left, progressive BOLSHEVIK. Of course he will HATE Trump, and all Republicans. Why should his opinion even matter. We know many if not most celebrities have mental issues, personality disorders, substance issues, and other character flaws.

You mean like Obama going to London to give an anti-Brexit campaign speech? Should not all citizens of the UK be against the President of the US attempting to influence their politics?

The most serious charge against the Russians is that they were behind the Podesta and DNC hacks that dumped all sorts of shadiness out into the public eye. The Russians didn't invent the shadiness, they simply unlocked it and let it out. The next most serious charge is that they engaged in social media propaganda meant "to sway the mind of the American voter."

The hack charge says nobody should be allowed to expose the truth of what candidates do behind the scenes, and the social media charge either removes license from American voters to vote how the wish or says letting them see more truth about candidates is bad. And I guess tangentially, any country doing any sort of propaganda to sway our elections even to the slightest degree - which we do all over the world all the time - is bad.

Funny, when all the leaders of the EU were stumping for Obama and the Democrats every other day for 8 years, nobody much minded the whole "foreign nations influencing American politics" phenomenon. Hell, Obama and the Democrats referenced international, pro-Dem/anti-GOP propaganda all the freaking time. But oh noez, omfgwtroflbbq....the Russians used super secret facebook propaganda, not stump speeches before large crowds, so it's different because different, or something...right?

So this comes down to a charge that the only way people could have voted for Trump is because they were made aware of truth about Hillary, and that is simply unfair.

He is correct. Anyone who cares about the facts knows damn well Trump rode into office on a wave of blind rage against "duh guberment" and bigotry. Everything from him excusing the murdering Klansmen in the summer "confederate snowflake" riots, to him trying to discredit that judge of Mexican background who was investigating his fraud school is an example of Trump's mindset, and his bobblehead followers happily agree with all of it. And such a mindset - hating the government and considering various minorities inferior - is a key part of the Civil War cultural battle.

So, yes - electing Trump to destroy the nation's government and promote bigotry is exactly what angry Confederates would do as a method of continuing to fight the Civil War. They feel nobody should tell them what to do, and yet oddly feel just fine in bossing others around, keeping minorities "in their place," and so on. Funny how that works.
