Democrats need to stop spreading this misconception
They value the divisiveness of identity politics over truth-telling, so that is probably not going to happen.

I can't believe 30 people voted yes. It's been thoroughly disproven countless times.

That is 30 identifiable individuals who value the Democrat left's insane "Political correctness" agenda over reality.

Except I’m not a Democrat and have had to actually report managers for blatantly saying they value women less than men. That is the reality where I live, simply because you refuse to see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Guys even NPR did a study about this and concluded that many industries had no bias but some still did. The end.

The idea that all women get stiffed by 40% or so is hogwash.

Especially in this day and age where you can get all that information and um...there is open competition for such roles across industries.

In short, I don't doubt this used to be a real thing. However, not anymore unless we're talking niche industries.

That does not tell us that they get paid less for the same work, just that you have swallowed the Democrat left's "Politically correct" talking points that say that they do, regardless of the facts or reality.

As a result, they may accept a lower salary than a comparable male would.
True, women do not negotiate for salaries and raises like men do. The pay gap is then perpetuated by employers who ask about salary history as a means to determine a wage for that candidate, rather than basing it on the role/position. Once you fall behind, it's hard to catch up, even when changing jobs.

How are there only 4 other people who voted "I don't know."

We all known there is a gap. None of us know the underlying reason(s) for it. Generally the gap shrinks a lot when you adjust for what work people are doing over what tenure but it does not vanish. There are lots of partial explanations and hypotheses but this is not a solved question.

It also doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. You're claiming that everything is equal, that these situations where women are at a distinct disadvantage don't exist. That's simply not true.
