Why would the FBI not tell congress about such a serious investigation, and allow proper congressional oversight for such a sensitive matter?

Why was the FBI hiding this investigation from congress?
Because its their policy to normally not get involved politically, or to announce investigations of that nature. The announcement of Clintons email was VERY unusual, but a result of having announced its closure before.

Well, we have to speculate because there has been no reason given for the recusal.

If there was some conflict, why was there not a conflict when the trail started?

They hid the investigation from oversight committees for nine months, they continued to hide the investigation long after the election.

There is no downplaying this one.

From the mouth of Trump's own appointee. To insinuate that the 35000 people who work for the FBI are "deep state" corrupt and out to get Trump is typical Trump hyperbolic nonsense. One would have to assume that not one of those 35000 people voted for Trump. Statistically improbable.

To attack an honored and respected institution world wide because the investigation is heating up, and not in your favor, is a typical lawyer move to try and discredit the indefensible. Nixon did it and failed. The truth is the truth no matter who the messenger or who has a good or negative opinion of you.

Is the FBI a perfect institution? No. Will it ever be? No. Is it as corrupt as Trump would like you to believe? The fact that Rosenstein signed off on the latest Page FISA warrant suggests to me that he did what was best for our country and not what was best for the president who appointed him.

Trump can obstruct and fire everyone who is not pro Trump but the investigation will go forward. What I see is a president in deep desperation and cover up mode using lame lies and underhanded tactics to save his own hide.
And rallying his troops, mercenaries....criminal Russian operative s brought to US ...why exactly?

Devon Nunes.

Why tell a WH Trump spy he is going to be eventually arrested for obstruction?

You just arrest him.

Yes, I know because I live here. But it's not the most expensive place to live in the country. And it's 8 to 4:30 for most companies.

I wonder whether the Trump family is going to be OK with the FBI investigating the envelope Trump Jr's wife received in the mail today.

Perhaps since the FBI is so corrupt and suspect the Trumps will hire their own private investigators.

The people who live in N VA would be quite surprised to hear that.

Gowdy said he was a terrible politician because all politicians care about is winning, not whether it's right or wrong (or words to that effect). He said he wanted to get back to the Justice system. Also said he didn't want to be a judge, which many speculated. Interesting idea on taking Wray's place. Hadn't thought of that angle. He'd be fabulous.
