Seems like the perfect trap set by Democrats to make Trump guilty no matter what he does.

Apparently the Democrats have put information into their memo that could genuinely endanger National Security (unlike the Republican memo, which contained no such material).

If Trump decides to release the Democrat memo, they will bash him for endangering National Security, even though they are the ones who put it there and demanded its release.

If Trump decides NOT to release the Democrat memo, they will scream, "See? See? we've got the goods on him, we wanted to make it public, but he's afraid of people finding out what a bad/corrupt/heartless/InsertTypicalSmearHere he is, so he blocked its release!" - safe in the knowledge that no one will ever see what they actually put in it.

Business as usual at the DNC.

White House seeks revisions to Dems' FISA rebuttal memo, halting release

By Catherine Herridge, Alex Pappas (Fox News)

The White House on Friday told Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee to redraft their rebuttal to a controversial GOP memo alleging government surveillance abuse during the 2016 campaign, saying sensitive details need to be stripped out before the document can be made public.

The message was sent to the committee on Friday in a letter from White House Counsel Don McGahn.

"Although the president is inclined to declassify the February 5th Memorandum, because the Memorandum contains numerous properly classified and especially sensitive passages, he is unable to do so at this time," McGahn wrote. "However, given the public interest in transparency in these unprecedented circumstances, the President has directed that Justice Department personnel be available to give technical assistance to the Committee, should the Committee wish to revise the February 5th Memorandum to mitigate the risks identified by the Department," McGahn continued. "The President encourages the Committee to undertake these efforts. The Executive Branch stands ready to review any subsequent draft of the February 5th Memorandum for declassification at the earliest opportunity."

A letter signed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray accompanied McGahn's response. In that accompanying letter, the two men noted "a version of the document that identifies, in highlighted text, information the release of which would present such concerns in light of longstanding principles regarding the protection of intelligence sources and methods, ongoing investigations, and other similarly sensitive information.

"We have further identified, in red boxes, the subset of such information for which national security or law enforcement concerns are especially significant. Our determinations have taken into account the information previously declassified by the President as communicated in a letter to HPSCI Chairman

not perfect trap. A rotten trick no doubt , but, It was known before it happened. Only the butthurt will gulp it down. This story will however receive LOTs of msm overplay. It’s already “trending” on social media whereas “the memo” never reached trending. How’s that? Leftism

Nunes: 'No surprise' Dem memo wasn't released | TheHill

It's not surprising that the republicans released a memo declining FBI input and doing so against their own DOJ and FBI recommendations. The FBI had input into the democratic memo before it went to vote, but Trump won't release it without further redaction's. So in other words Trump doesn't like the fact that the democrats memo makes his memo look bad, so therefore, it must be changed. Okay. Got it.

More Trump lies...and then more lies on top by the usual Trump shills.

It's not about redacting the memo for national security; it's just about obstructing it so that they faked Nunes memo can continue to be marketed as the truth.

I am going to assume that the city-data shills are smart enough to know this deep down, even though they obviously will lack the integrity to admit it.

It wasn't the trump supporters who said the memo will hurt security then after it came out said its a nothing memo. Democratic leadership is nothing more than a bunch of lowlife lying scumbags. Those are your people. Clean up your own house, it's filthy.

I am going to assume that the non partisans are ethical enough to know this deep down, and they obviously have the integrity to admit it.

Trump decided to release the Nunes memo before he even read it. And he decided not to release the Democrats' memo before he even read it.

But there's no agenda there. Nope.

The usual desperate insults and accusations from the usual sullen liberals. Accompanied by the usual complete absence of evidence.

(yawn)
