Good job protesting in front of the IRS building. The biggest "financier" of "terrorism". (IMHO)
"At the Internal Revenue Service building in the nation's capital, about 100 protesters led by a marching band gathered at the main entrance. Several jumped barricades and sat down in front of the doors and were immediately detained. The demonstrators said they were focusing on the IRS, among other institutions, because it gathers taxes used to fund the war."

I am saying this as a supporter of keeping troops in Iraq until the job is finished.
The protests were weak. I live in DC and the protest forced me to spend a whole 10 extra minutes getting home. Their "mock waterboarding" should be turned into a skit for Saturday Night Live. If so much of the country is against the war, why were they only able to get 1000 protestors out there? They couldn't get a single government office or business shut down. What kind of civil disobedience is that?
On the IRS, let's get real. They also collect taxes for everything the government provides. Want us to pull out of schools, welfare, and policing too?

War protestors or tax protestors all have the right.
If anyone should be protesting anything it should be the income tax and tax protestors. But the War protestors should have their say since after all this is still America and should disagree with it's government. I would prefer some of this war Protestors weren't commies and socialists because I will not side with that political agenda and will start the second revolution if needed. Most importantly of any WAR I would like to see a plan for the WAR and DEFINE VICTORY PLEASE that is what Americans should be asking for. Also I think the united states should get out of the business of nation building. This war is a direct result of poor leadership in the congress and the white house. But I say it again the government has been due for an overall for a while. To restore this country to defending the constitution and move away from socialism and communism and corruption. The more money and tax dollars we send them the worse it gets. Protest on April 15th.. and tell the IRS to go stick it because of the war or more socialism programs just tell the government to MOD CUT!

The IRS which collects income tax only does not provide anything for schools, welfare, and policing.
All this money does is pay for the debt on the Federal Reserve System for the INTEREST Alone. If you think the income tax does anything to support programs and schools you have been brainwashed. This tax only lets fed print money the government spends while you pay the interest on the loan the bankers gave to the government to live beyond it's means. The banks get rich most of them foreign at the expense of the US tax payer. The IRS is corrupt and illegal in it's collection actions. Frankly doesn't seem very American to me.
Welfare programs can be done local and with mostly charites not federal govenment programs.
School tax comes from local property taxes not the federal income tax.
WAKE UP!!

I think at least part of the low number of protesters is due to the fact by now most people have come to realize that this administration is going to do what it's going to do and doesn't give a rat's behind what anybody outside the White House grounds thinks.

So how was the protest. Did you bang some pots and pans or what?
