I see a lot of mixed couples around here, and it’s not just black men and white women.
So a white husband is married to a black wife in 0.3% of the time and a black husband is married to white wife 8.6% of the time. This is consistent with what I've seen. Statistics

So? I’m sure the numbers are lower because black women seem on the whole to be more interested in black men still, but still I’ve noticed it more and more.

"I feel like white people shouldn't even have passports"
Work harder and stop making excuses. That's what the blacks are told when they can't afford anything.
That's not what blacks are exclusively told. That's what any good parent would tell their child or anyone who cared about who they were speaking to would say. Work hard for what you want, no excuses is exactly what I tell my children.

I don't believe it's just about black women being more interested in black men (though a number of black women certainly do prefer black men).
I think we must also consider the fact that black Americans tend to live primarily around other black people (due to socioeconomic and race based factors). This is especially true for black women. Outside of work, many black women do not have any white associates or friends. When you couple this with the myriad of racial stereotypes and bigotry, it makes a lot of sense as to why black women are less likely than other races to date inter-racially.
However, when black American women travel overseas, they have a very different experience, because many other nations don't appear to have the same racial issues (particularly pertaining to white vs black) as the U.S.

(Fast forward to 8 minutes 49 seconds --two Swedish guys approach her and try to get a date...) It's hilarious because when I was in Europe, I had the same situation happen to me on a regular basis. At first, you make light out of it, but after a while, many of the guys seem like weirdos and you try your best to avoid the strange ones.
The below video features the same woman. Upon returning to the U.S., she quickly realizes that her dating "options" are very different. The issue is not the woman, because she had a myriad of dating experiences outside of America... the real issue is the U.S. culture and how black women are perceived and stereotyped in America.

That’s some good advice for anyone who doesnt have the things they desire. It’s not a black and white thing. I was told that when I was a kid, and I tell my kids the same.
