Women of Color Healing Retreat in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica; a travel experience that emphasized yoga, vegan food, political education seminars, and specifcally banned white people.
"I feel like white people shouldn't even have passports"
So, a bunch of women form a sexually and racially segregated retreat in a foreign country based on money they made in the United States.
Forgive me, but are the dozen or so women in this video supposed to represent all women of color nationwide? I can sympathize with their issues and they make some valid points, but leaving the country is quite extreme.
I work with several people of color, and they don't seem to mind white people at all.
She says white people shouldn’t have passports and that they need to stay in the US, but does she realize that white people are born in other countries too? Oi vey!
I think anybody move out of a country to stay away from "white people" (or any race) should seek professional help. I don't say this to be mean, i think it is what it is.

By all means, move to Puerto Viejo, it's a real paradise.
Part of the irony here is that these women are part of the privileged group that can afford to take a 10 day jaunt to Costa Rica, something that the average person of any color can't afford to do. That said, if wallowing in their victimhood is what it takes to make them feel good about themselves, then have it. Perhaps a permanent vacation to Costa Rica might be just the thing for them. It'll be that many fewer racists polluting our society.
The irony is that Costa Rica is one of the most racially segregated countries you will ever see. They didn't even let Blacks travel outside the province of Limon (where most live) until 1949.
Oh, have you ever been there? My guess is that would be no.
Puerto Viejo is where I am going on vacation next, can't wait!
Your guess would be wrong. I lived in Costa Rica for ten years.
