We need this but the deficit is getting way out of hand.
I agree, we do need this.

The way I see it is a lot of infrastructure repairs have not been done for years.
Thus the big dollar amount now to fix it.

Over the years had there been money put into it, it may have equaled to what is being proposed in the present.

Sort of like if one lets things go in their house that needs fixing or replacement for years, then when it has to be done it is one big bill.
