I guess Pence and Trump were never taught this.
Soooo you would've shaken hands with Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito? I don't think so.

SKorea caved to north’s demands. Just like Chamberlain caved to Hitlers demands.

S Korean athletes are pissed they didn’t match under their own flag.

Entirely political.

The Trump administration should have refused to send anybody to represent the government stating their objection to North Korea being allowed to participate in the games given the brutality of their leader.

The show of sitting and refusing to acknowledge the North Korean delegate -- was that -- a show for Americans. It means nothing.

That's true, I never thought of it that way.

I don't watch the view.

I don't know what has happened to whoopi. she was never cruel and approached differences of opinion with humor and genuine interest to understand another point of view. she has become someone I don't recognize when I read her quotes or watch video clips of her now. mean, almost pathologic in her anger. she must be a terribly unhappy woman. she didn't used to be....

Soooo If Pence did shake her hand he would have been accused of doing it only for appearance sake.
How could he be sincere when he is the VP of a Government that is pushing for even greater sanctions on NK in response to their nuclear program that threatens the world?

How could her hand shake be sincere when the US would take the shot if her brother was lined up in the cross hairs of a sniper rifle?

Pence was damned (at least by whoopi and her like) if he shook her hand or didn't.

Personally for the goodwill of the Olympics I think he should have shaken her hand.
But then again imagine if it was a safety concern. Kim Jong Un has murdered people with poison.

I used to like Whoopi in the movies, her comedy routines and on Star Trek but you are right she has changed into a mean spirited bitter woman.
I think she has a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I only see out takes of the View on other networks when their hosts make stupid comments. Whoopi, and Joy (less) Behar seem to be the most angry, unhappy people. Terrible way to go through life.

They won't show the Russian flag either.
