A report has come out that Uday Hussein was going to attack Iraqi opposition leaders in the UK. The report also showed that Saddam had ties to many radical groups who had ties with Al-qaeda.
So the UK can thank us one more time for not having a liberal administration too scared to fight terrorism. It sounds like the Hitler-like sons of Saddam (actually many say they were more evil than Hitler) wasn't able to carry out his plans on the UK. All thanks to your "evil" current administration. Chalk another one up to the USA saving the world.
When are you anti-america, liberal loons going to get a clue that the world is a better place because of the USA?
If you stop reading and watching the 24/7 gloom and doom media, you'd realize things aren't that bad. The problem right now is perception. All we hear is negatives. That's how Foxnews, MSNBC, CNN and the rest make money. They profit from fear. Even on a day with no real news, they will search to find a car chase or some murder somewhere in the country.
People, turn off your tvs and put down the newspaper and go outside and live your lives. Most people are paying their mortgages on time. The dollar is rebounding. Terrorists are on the run. We haven't had an attack in 7 years. The world's largest economy (that being the USAs) is still the strongest in the world and fundamentally is ok. The price of oil is falling back to where it should be.
The only thing to worry about is our education. Our system is failing. The loss of the middle class is because the ones getting the good educations are getting rich and the uneducated are getting more poor. We need to privatize our education system and play catch up with the rest of the world that has figured out that govt run education doesn't work. That's the only thing we should be worrying about.
We live in the greatest nation on this planet and the people who think America is evil and selfish.. you should be ashamed of yourselves. Now turn off your computer, turn off your tv, put down your newspaper and go live your lives in the greatest nation on this planet.. the good old USA!!
A report came out today? What report, by whom, and where might we find this comprehensive analysis that seems to escape all the governments of the west?
You tell people to turn off their TV's and put down their newspapers and stop reading the doom and gloom at the same time you post some unknown report that we should all be aware of, so which is it? Do you want us to read it or are we supposed to just accept your word that it exist and is the final word? You claim you are worried about education yet at the same time suggest people put down any sources of information?
After reading this post, I will agree with one thing, we definitely need to improve our education in America.
The Fedayeen was Iraq's supposed equivalent to our special forces, but then again, the US has a habit of labeling anyone we are about to invade or occupy as having "terrorist links". In addition they wanted to assassinate Ahmed Chalabi who was exiled from Iraq and is wanted in Jordan for being an embezzler not to mention the fact that the man is a pathological liar and is responsible for large amounts of the garbage the US government passed off as "intelligence sources" for Iraq's alleged WMD's. If I am not mistaken, didn't Chalabi pas some classified US documents to Iran while he was head of the Iraqi's congress? (or something to this effect)
Even this Fox report makes a point of stating that
Quote:
While the study showed no link between Saddam Hussein's regime and Al Qaeda, it does detail the former Iraq dictator's support for Middle Eastern terror groups, including those linked to Al Qaeda.
Here is basically what they are calling "terrorist groups"
Quote:
The Fedayeen, with a total strength reportedly between 18,000 and 40,000 troops, was composed of young soldiers recruited from regions loyal to Saddam. The unit reported directly to the Presidential Palace, rather than through the army command, and was responsible for patrol and anti-smuggling duties. Though at times improperly termed an "elite" unit, the Fedayeen was a politically reliable force that could be counted on to support Saddam against domestic opponents. It started out as a rag-tag force of some 10,000-15,000 "bullies and country bumpkins." They were supposed to help protect the president and Uday, and carry out much of the police's dirty work.
As to the alleged ties between Iraq and Al Qaeda via other terrorist groups, this is almost hilarious in how it has been associated here. There was a guy who knew someone who belonged to a military group that was lated labeled or classified as a terrorist organization, who knew a guy who once bumped into a guy at a market who knew someone that was once associated with suspected Al Qaeda...
I could associate everyone on the planet with Al Qaeda using this method of knowing people suspected of knowing who might have had ties to someone who may have .... blah blah blah.

Yes, we have certainly made a habit of that. Seems like every weekend, we're invading and occupying another poor, innocent country. Over and over it happens, and nobody seems to care.

I hear that Venezuela is next. Followed by China.
Well I don't think we have to worry about invading any more countries for a while since our liberal Republican President has pretty much gutted our military. Unless of course we plan on invading Luxemburg.
