Someone suggested that politicians should wear sponsor patches like NASCAR drivers.
I like it!
Related: there is a video going around showing the amounts of donations made by the DeVos family to the congress-critters who voted for Betsy's confirmation.
Doesn't matter whether national or local, it's all about "pay-to-play."

That's well known, hell, she basically said out loud that she/her family (SCAMway heiress) had donated X amount and that she "deserved" the position. Pay to play is EXACTLY right.
“I never expected they would make such a huge deal about it,” she said.
According to House Communications Director Jared Hunt, regular House rules govern committee public hearings, as well. Those rules preclude speakers from making personal attacks against members by name.
They considered it a personal attack for someone to note who gave them money.
Imagine if she leaked that you were a donor to someone and then some people went and used that info to get you fired from your job and harassed at your house? I don't see anything illegal about reading a donor list from OpenSecrets but if she was reading private information that wasn't supposed to be legally allowed to be public, I'm glad they nailed her.
Actually, come to think of it, considering that the Left is known for trying to destroy people, her reading that out loud could have been considered TRYING to cause trouble with individuals and doing it on the floor of Congress.
Who donates to a campaign is a part of the public record. Anyone can get that info.
