Unions were a huge reason for decent paying jobs 40 years ago.

As unions disappeared, so did the decent paying jobs.

OP conflates "high labor" with "high paying"

if you don't even know what these words mean, how can you have an informed opinion about the topic?

disagree, i think global trade has far more to do with the decline of manufacturing jobs than anything.

Exactly, not sure where that poster thinks unions have disappeared. I'm 49 and haven't seen any disappear in my lifetime.
