Where is the "all of the above," category? It is all those choices, and of course lazy, rich NRA backed lawmakers. IMO

Since most people agree that mental health is a serious issue in the country, and the NRA/GOP party is arguing that it is the primary cause of these mass murder and suicide tragedies I would hope they would sponsor a bill for comprehensive mental health!

Looking for it.

The problem is obvious. People have no hope and fall into depression and despair, which eventually converts to anger and vengeance. The people that have committed these act don't see a future in a country that has ever increasing income inequality and limited economical movement.

The United States is heading in the direction of Brazil and Mexico. In Mexico and Brazil, businessman are routinely kidnap and held for ransom. Anyone with any money is a target. People who resist are executed on the spot. Rich and well off people in countries with no economic mobility or large levels of inequality become prisoners in their own country. You can't leave the safe zones, heavily armed gated communities.

A few weeks ago, a businessman in Mexico was executed by his kidnappers when he resisted. In Mexico, kidnapping or extortion is daily occurs for anyone with any money. From the rich to the pop and mom shop owner. Here is link to the attempting kidnapping. Warning, there is video on the execution so if you can't stomach such things don't go to the link.

In Mexico, execution or murder of children are common by organized crime. There is even a case about the Mexican police participating with organize crime in massive execution of school age students. A few of the governors are under corruption charge, in jail, or fled and are wanted.

Personally, I think high levels of income inequality contribute to high rates of crimes. Every country that has high levels of inequality and little economic mobility like Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, South America, most of Africa, and parts of south east Asia have high rates of murders, kidnaps, extortion, drug use, and other serious crimes. Things haven't gone very well in the last ten years for the United States.

Responding with heavily armed police or military generally makes the situation worst. In South Africa, the police all carry automatic weapons, but that doesn't help prevent the weekly death of police officers. Last, I check for every 4 criminals killed by the police, one police officer is killed by the criminals. What seems to happen is the criminals match the firepower of the police or ambush them.

This is very, very true. Kids are becoming more and more immune to so many things.

Along with the local PD. I read an article where they said they were investigating at least 20 reports against the guy.

Very true. I see how people say they are living on base/post because it's more secure. Uh...no it's not. It's a false sense of security. Also another reason you don't hear much about shootings happening in schools is because the military bases are sending more and more kids to civilian schools around the base/post.

Oh Well, then, it's a whole different ball game. Not to mention, generally when a cop shoots someone, that person has a rap sheet a mile long....in other words, it's a criminal that has been left go, time and time again....

To actually kill people, torture animals, even make claims that your going to shoot people is a bat **** crazy person, and this country has their share of them.....

Every single day there is a shooting in Philly...and you read about people abusing animals...and what if they have children....?????

We've got a huge parenting problem here in America.....
