Half the time we can't make sure the kids have books or computers and the teachers rarely have enough supplies. But somehow we're going to give each teacher and each student a Glock and ammo? That dog don't hunt.

Funny. America tackled a serious drunk driving problem in the past by imposing harsh restrictions against those who drink and drink, even taking their license to drive away. It hasn't stopped all drunk driving, obviously, but the numbers are going down. Thanks for proving that laws imposed by the government do work!

Its a simple program of private security for every 100 students, and a few other details. But, since no one wants to talk about anything other than meds and guns as the problem, lets see if we as adults can talk about safeguarding our kids.
And, their airports are pretty darn secure too..
There have been school shootings in Israel. Although not many, then again in most countries such shooting are far less prevalent than in the US.

Haha! Is this satire?

Our enemies would love nothing better than for us just to kill each other.

That seems to be what you are advocating.

Arm everyone? How freakin stupid do you have to be to think arming all citizens will help reduce violence. I can just imagine a school full of people that are armed. This is laughable. The murder rates in this country would hit the stratosphere.

The simple solution is metal detectors at one main entrance. I was reading accounts of school gun incidences within the past two decades, most kids just walked into the schools with guns in their backpacks. Simple metal detectors would prevent this. They aren't that expensive and would be easy in implement.

Other than that, if someone wants to commit mass murder, it can't be stopped. Nothing to prevent a murdered from gunning down kids at a bus stop, or a mall, or park, or church, or just on the street.

Here's another options, the majority of Americans want stricter gun laws. The only reason our laws don't change is because the the NRA has the GOP in their pockets. Simple solution, VOTE OUT REPUBLICANS. They do not the represent the voice of the people, get rid of them.

Maybe your kids. My kid had her **** together.
Makes the case to teach them their rights early on in life, so at the adult age they don't discover them in an uneducated way.

The solution is right in front of our faces. It is called the 2nd Amendment.
Arm the teachers and kids! Do not deny them their rights.
People have every right to protect themselves. No one else will.

Its not guns its this multicultural Bull sh I% it does not work. The most happy content countries are those who are homogeneous. Japan, China ect. Sorry but slamming together cultures does not work. It same libtarrdeed idea that the Native Americans all lived in harmony and sang songs and held hands. Total bull crap. This is why in the 50s things were much better. But you did not have gays spanking their bare ass in your face or adding letters to the LGBTQRRSUV crowd of freaks.

That's not a solution. That's a step backward on the timeline of building a civilized society. Give every student a weapon then the NRA will support kids having rocket launchers and to drive tanks to school and the gun industry will build them, then buy themselves a nice, safe island to park their own families. They are incapable of drawing a line in the sand on how many is too many weapons. Our Founding Fathers could never have imagined the kind of fire power man as invented for killing each other. And we need to open that debate. Just yelling "2nd Amendment" in everyone's face as a way to stop all debate isn't cutting it anymore.

Armed and well trained police is the only solution. We need to stop pretending that passing some law or other is going to stop some crazy from walking into a school and killing people. Only effective security will prevent these killings.

The officers that are assigned to schools are regular officers. Their job is at the school. There was an armed trained officer at the high school.

Are you suggesting we have a bunch of police for one school?
