Yeah 100 years after slavery. Yeah that was the cause of a mid 1960s crime spike still existing to this day, and race riots in the late 1960s all over the country, not what LBJ and democrat operatives were doing at the time .

The leftists mantra of removing all guns is ridiculous, and that ship sailed long ago.....the media just has to blame somebody and they blame the GOP every time a shooting happens. I'm sick of the Schumer/Pelosi gun grab sound bytes. GUN FREE ZONES are invariably the places where people get shot and its obvious why, the shooter may be crazy but he's not dumb enough to go where he thinks HE will get shot. Same reason gun ranges and police stations aren't attacked. It's time for the public to wise up........even churches are starting to set up concealed carry members to guard the troops. Schools need to do the same, authorizing a few willing members to carry concealed (AND POST the same around the school) and my bet is school shootings drop to near zero.

Everybody sits around and whines and does nothing. Candles and vigils bring nobody back........wise up and look for a solution instead of somebody to blame.
There were twenty school shootings between the years 1950 and 1960, the first happening in at NYC Public School 141. Surprisingly, there is actually a database of church shootings, so they definitely weren't unknown in that time period either. BTW, the first mass shooting involved a man named Howard Unruh, who killed 13 people in Camden, NJ in 1949 over the course of a twenty-minute rampage. He used a Ruger semi-automatic pistol to perpetrate his crime.

Maybe just drop the societal change into the “things the baby boomers screwed up” cabinet and hope it doesn’t fall through the floor due to excessive weight.

I grew up in he country with gun racks on trucks and guns at school and no shootings. Somehow though, our culture has a cancer that we need to figure out and apply the cure. I'm open to banning the AR-15, increasing the age to 21 to buy guns, and more thorough background checks. It would also help if our FBI was doing their job rather than trying to rig the election and then CYA.

America has always been taking in immigrants. It's the constant infusion of people from other places that makes America so innovative and ultimately more powerful.
I don't think people from Denmark and Europe are the problem.

I have never known of an AR-15 or any other firearm to hurt anyone, But I have heard of some people hurting other people.

I feel like as a country we have went from looking after one another to how can we screw one another. Each to their own.

Years ago if a homeowner wanted protection he might have a revolver or shotgun. I know people who have enough firepower at home to supply a combat unit operating in the Middle East.
M1 carbines with 10, 15, 20 round magazines were a dime a dozen in the fifties.

Newspapers with delayed stories vs. everybody walking around with a cell is a huge difference today.

The take away from all mass shootings is you're a fool if you think government can provide safety. The PD is going to show up and do chalk outlines, while the coroner tosses the "gun free" into rubber bags. Concealed carry only gives you a chance at survival but it's better than nothing. The saddest story I've read is the gal with a CCW permit in Texas who left her gun in the car because a restaurant was a gun free zone. She watched a couple of hold up thugs murder her parents while she watched unarmed under a table. The stupidity of liberalism always has consequences.......and more shootings are guaranteed in the future because nobody has done a thing to change outcomes. The next murderous crackhead is already out there somewhere........
