Seems like in general the south has an excellent quality of life if one stays in ultra-conservative suburbs.

Liberals are always going on about how many issues the south has but where the issues are contained is Democratic cities.

The only poorly run Republican city in the south is Tulsa in my opinion. Most of the southern poverty and southern high violent crime rates take place in cities where Democrats are running the show.

Yet cities like Jackson, Birmingham, Houston, San Antonio, New Orleans are all overwhelmingly Democratic by massive margins.

I would venture to guess that Birmingham, New Orleans and Jackson vote Democratic at a higher percentage than Los Angeles.

Huntington, WV for example which is a city in crisis due to the fact it ignored the heroin and heroin trafficking for years has a Democratic mayor.
