Well, that may be because that is the one that is currently on the table.

What if it was another right that people were arguing about, such as about voting in regards to the last national election?


Say, perhaps, it was about the 8th amendment in a wave of serial rapes or child molesters across the country and people were arguing that we ought to execute these monsters for the harm they are doing. That catch is we can't because the 8th amendment says, in case law, that unless they kill someone, you can't execute them.

Now, back to the point, yes, we probably do value gun rights over everything else because we have seen so much history of what can happen when the government disarms a population. We have seen what happens when the US government disarms a population.

We KNOW what will happen eventually...............or we should know.
