I filled out a form recently and it asked me for my preferred pronoun. Why are we making life so complicated??

What form? Where? Do you have angst when you check off what ethnicity you are?

Yes, I still don’t feel like I should be required to check off my ethnicity on anything except my Ancestry.com profile.

Actually, I'm glad to see this. Many people have names that can be used by either gender. I know it really doesn't matter in the scheme of things, but I've received letters addressed to Mr. Jacque Gxxxxxx quite a few times.

Not yet.

Haven't done my taxes though. I assume "government's b****" is going to be an option this year.

I notice you're not answering the question - mine, too - about what form.

If I were filling out a form, where they'd ask how to address me, I'd say my preferred pronoun is "you."
