I don't know.

Why do you thinks so? Any thoughts?

It is a diarrhea thread. If you are keen on that sort of thing, then that explains your perspective.

Interestingly, President Obama moved up 10 spots since 2014, from number 18 to number 8.
Great post - thanks so much. Trump supporters will ignore it, of course.

It's interesting that Obama's estimation has risen. It makes sense that we often re-evaluate our presidents as more becomes known about the difficulties they face. In Trump's case, I think there is little chance of his ranking improving much, because the problems with Trump are less about his presidential decisions being bad, and more about what a miserable human being he is inherently - ignorant, corrupt, money-grubbing, boastful, bigoted. People who expected him to change at his advanced age, to suddenly become civil or compassionate, were delusional.

I can't help but think that anyone who ranks Trump (or Obama for that matter) as below Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan are suffering from recency bias.

This poll makes sense though. Trump was sent as a middle finger to the elites in both parties. These are elites doing the rankings.

Wow, a survey of scholars, who would have ever thought? You think any of the "scholars" voted for President Trump? Lets do a survey of "Deplorable's".

Look at the poll:
95 Democrats
47 Independents/3rd Party
21 Republicans

And at lest 5 of their prestigious voters didn't know Lincoln, Washington and Teddy was on Mount Rushmore. As 5 of their voters voted for those guys to be next on Mount Rushmore.

I certainly hope that this thread has legs to last until 2020 , because I'm going to have some big fun watching Trump supporters support him in 2020.

Will you just back that dump truck loaded with popcorn up to my front door , thank you sir.
