I`ve been to quasi-socialistic Costa Rica several times and I`ve never met a Costa Rican than wanted to move to Honduras or Guatemala. They`ve had universal healthcare since 1961 and they have wealthy people who own businesses. They seem to be much happier than Americans...by far.

If under Capitalism, when a person dies, all his belongings are divided equally to all citizens, so you don´t get concentration of power/money/monopoly and children who never worked for it don´t get a benefit from it.

Anything is better than socialism. My question is why Americans are obsessed with it when they live in the best country in the world.

Throughout human history, economic activity has been based on competition and exploitation. With Fukushima slowly poisoning the Pacific ocean, and the myriad other slow brewing disasters leading to species extinction, some day it will begin to dawn on people that exploitation is not such a good thing. In a profit-based economy (aka capitalism), you have the choice between Scylla and Charybdis; you need ever-increasing debts, on a global scale, to feed the profits. Or, you can reduce the income of the vast majority. (Austerity) Big Gov certainly helps with variant (A) , leading to “economic growth”, although for obvious reasons pretty unstable. (In the short term, it leads to credit Booms and debt Busts, when it is realized that people cannot meet their obligations) (B) leads to a deflationary race to the bottom. So: Big Gov and Fiat Money are there to run a profit-based economy while creating economic growth, to enrich the wealthy. It just does not work out (for almost everybody) in the long run and down the crapper we go.

3) We don't have the resources to help everybody and capitalism does a better job of making sure resources go to who most deserve it.
4) Cheaters who are looking to take it easy and not contribute their fair share will ruin socialism for everybody.

Are these good reasons?
No.

Capitalism is the only moral system based on freedom of peaceful commerce just like consensual sex.

Socialism is the second most evil system that promotes jealousy and violence. Nothing moral, just, or fair with socialism - you can't implement socialism without violence. It's worse than rape and slavery.

Stop arguing which system is more efficient, instead, arguing on the moral ground.

Uh huh.

Capitalism is freedom.

Socialism is slavery.

You're a little mixed up there.
