Lot of skullduggery going on with Manafort, Gates, him, and others...Russians, of all things...

Remember he is son in law of Russian oligarch w/close ties to Putin and shady character in his own right...sounds like Van der Zwaan should be getting charged with more than he is...
He is not taking a plea deal---the judge will determine his sentence and sounds like Mueller would like it to be pretty stiff...
It is remarkable you dug into history to update this thread. Yes I read the articles. No I am not really that excited about it. It is not clear what they were talking about other than "substantive".

Why reinvent the wheel
Thread is current enough
I think the judge has proof of "substantive" events/evidence
Just not in filings
Too public

No reason to start a new thread when this one already exists. Life is confusing enough as it is.

What's with lawyers lying to Mueller?

Surely, they know that's going nowhere.

I think van der Zwasn didn't know Mueller or take him seriously
He is UK/Dutch
Not US based/employed really
His father in law Russian olygarch--friend of P's
Likely thought dropping names would work
