Not true. Lots of loopholes to close gun show sales. People to people sales. Mandatory safety classes and registration. Bump stock issues to name just a few

Wow. Pretty broad statement there. Got any research to back that up?

Harden schools. High fences, armed security, camera systems. Police out front before and after the bell. Stuff like we do here in San Diego.

Speaking of bump stocks, I was glad to see Trump talking about banning them.

I never said remove all guns. I've said this multiple times. Allow any single-shot manually reloaded weapon to be sold to any citizens to appease the 2nd amendment. When that 250 year old document was written, a gun took somewhere between 20-30 seconds to reload. You're not going to be able to go kill dozens of people if it takes 20-30 seconds to reload. A modern single shot weapon might take what, 5 seconds or so to reload by placing a bullet in the chamber manually after each shot? Seems like a fair compromise.

Anything that is more than a single shot weapon must go through a rigorous training process along with require yearly physical and mental health checks. Make the process similar to how pilots get their license. $3-4,000 with hours of training and course instruction.

A setup like this still allows for hunting or target practice along with basic self-defense. It would also mean that those who really want a semi-automatic weapon are accounted for. If you really have nothing to hide, what's the issue with going to the doctor each year to maintain your firearm licence?
Girardoni .46 air rifle shot at same speed as a modern 45 pistol, Jefferson owned 2 and Lewis and Clark even amazed the Indians with theirs, and of course the Puckle gun. Made before USA was a country.. HooYah
many military members have/do meet hrs of operation of said weapons.

I think that's a bit overly dramatic.

Again, a black market complicates things. As a normal middle-class citizen, if I couldn't buy a gun from the store, I would have no idea where to go. How many of these mass shootings were done by prior criminals? As far as I know, most of these guys had clean records. So a black market to them would be significantly harder to come across.
conservatives do care... why wont liberals allow mental illness to be addressed???

then maybe the brain dead liberals can actually say and use their brain for once ..."let's enforce the laws that are there on the books instead of dreaming up a new law that wont be enforced"

but instead the fascist liberals want more and more regulations on top of each other, never thinking about original laws, just more worthless regulations all in the name of a #meme

the ''blame'' spreads out to a lot of places...and its not the guns

the schools for not reporting this nutjob
the parents for not reporting this nutjob
the peers for not reporting this nutjob
the doctors for not reporting this nutjob
the local police for not reporting this nutjob
the fbi for not acting on any reports of this nutjob

but that is just the problem....we wont address mental illness..the real problem

this kid made threats against the school and his peers...... that should be a major red flag.... yet if we say something, we are looked upon as the nutjobs that have something against the "poor innocent youth"

everyone of these shootings in the last few years has been one thing in common... A mentally unstable person acting on his 'instability' ... the nutjob from Sandyhook, should have been institutionalized...the nutjob from Vegas, should have been reported by the navy(?) or was it airforce, and institutionalized.. the nutjob from the church in SC, same thing

everyone of these SHOULD have been caught beforehand... yet we need to treat people nice, and turn the otherway....NO..ENOUGH is ENOUGH... open the institutions back up that we closed in the 80's

No one wants to hurt law abiding citizens. But how about we look at a 19 year old kid with a troubled history who amasses numerable guns in a year's time. There is a balance, you know.
