How many Right-wing people have you heard of committing mass shootings? How many shootings have you heard of done by NRA members? (Also, how many shootings have you heard of stopped or thwarted by Ring-wing people or NRA members?) While it's true that several of these guys have turned out to be Left-leaning, I don't think that it would be fair even to take away guns from law-abiding Left-leaners either.

Also, consider Waco, TX where a bunch of unarmed Americans were killed by the federal government but in the Bundy Ranch standoff, where both Bundy's friends and the Bureau of Land Management had guns, nobody ended up dying and the BLM left.

Also, consider the Wounded Knee Massacre where the government killed about 290 mostly unarmed Native Americans. It's not like our government hasn't killed the innocent before so giving up our weapons to them isn't the brightest idea.

Also, consider Switzerland, where you are REQUIRED to own a gun, yet gun crimes, I believe, are also low. If you believed the rhetoric of the gun grabbers that the higher amount of gun ownership would mean a higher rate of mass shootings, Switzerland doesn't seem to go along with that.

Now, as for Japan, a country with more gun control than ours, they also have a culture that ingrains respect, etc into kids's heads a lot more than here. So that would also account for the lower crime rate.

And do any of these left lane just how many of these "assault weapons" are out there? In the tens of millions. Even if they wanted to confiscate them all it would be impossible.

If you have registered weapons and are fearful of this, report to the authorities that your house was burglarized. If you live in any sized city no officer will come, you just go online and file the report, including the serial #s of your weapons.

Is that illegal? Yes. But if you are that worried about it................

The National Rifle Association says it is opposed to new legislation in the US Senate and the House that would ban the production and sale of "bump fire stocks," a firearm accessory that allows semi-automatic weapons to fire at a more rapid pace like automatic ones.

A rubber band will work like a bump stock. Think they will be outlawed?

Where would school kids be safe. A school that has a 'gun free zone' sign or a school that has a 'personnel in this school are armed' sign.

You don't even need a that. Simply a stiff trigger finger and a firm hold on the magwell will suffice with a bit of practice.
