OK, back on topic. I for one don't want my child's teachers concealing a weapon unless there is full disclosure to all the parents prior to the teacher packing heat. Do they even call it packing heat anymore?

I have several CCW friends...you will never know they are packing.......and the school telling anybody is ridiculous.....you want the crazy to be guessing where that piece of lead is coming from.....

You are likely around hundreds of concealed guns carried by law abiding citizens throughout the day. I daily carry a 17 round double stacked 40 SW with a spare mag for starters.

The thing that really astonishes me about this is the fact that people are saying that parents shouldn't even be told that this might be a possibility at their child's school. Doesn't anyone remember hearing about people getting a severe case of the vapors when kids were told, in health class, that condoms could help prevent the spread of STDs without getting a damn permission slip?

Do parents get a say, or don't they?

And I've said before that you're a law abiding gun owner's worst nightmare. Like a couple weeks ago when you considered drawing down on a guy exiting through the Enter door at WalMart.

If a teacher wants to carry, they should be able to. If a school trains and arms an employee, the parents need to be made fully aware.

No. Nothing in the Constitution says these parents or students have a right to know.

Actually, that is highly unlikely, because I am generally not around hundreds of citizens, gun-carrying or not, law-abiding or not, on any given day.

I think you are missing my point. I am not anti-gun. I simply think that if a school district decides to allow staff to carry, parents should be aware of the possibility. It's not about hating guns, it's about loving transparency.

Of the specific teacher? Do you have any idea what that would cause? Guarantee that teacher would be a target to get jumped.
