When you dont have to earn the money, spending it foolishly until you're broke is a natural consequence. I present the current and ever rising deficit as further evidence.
Exactly: ridiculous military expense + irresponsible and unpaid for tax cuts

The far-right still hasn't figured out how to fund their pay-day loan tax scam, so they are in no position to complain, especially considering that universal health-care would be far better for the nation than a huge tax break mostly to the rich.

You fund it on a tax for greed based healthcare, a entrance and exit tax from tourists into the US, a 10% VAT for healthcare o all service and sales, by confiscating illegals property and selling it and seizing the dope growers assets and property as well as the property of companies hiring illegals and selling it. Any time CA acts up and defies law, charge them a billion or so in fines. May CA can fund it all by their lonesome?? Also every new MD that gets out of school has to serve 3 years in the socialized medicine hospital before they can get out in the world to sexually abuse their female patients.

Nope, tax cuts dont have to paid for, that's progressive word salad. Tax cuts aren't something you put in a shopping cart, wheel up to the cashier and are asked to pay for. The term tax cut simply means less money is taken from people involuntarily.
I'll grant you the part on military spending.

Why do we have to pay for it? We didn't pay for the tax cuts or the wars.

So that is enough. We aren't paying for the wars so there is no reason we should have to pay for health care.

They likely know how much it would cost but refuse to release details and just say a computer model will determine the rates.

They basically are proposing Medicare for All and just leave the revenue generation to an economic model to made in the future.

It always sounds nice, until the financial details are released.

I personally think the best thing is for the federal government to just send a Medicaid block grant to states with no strings attached that are basically state population divided by 2018 federal medicaid dollars adjusted for inflation rate year after year.

That way states could have a health care for all program partially funded by federal dollars and the rest with state dollars so they could tailor their own programs.
Sounds like the same response when the Republicans were asked how they would pay for tax reform!

The tax reform doesn't have to be paid for. They federal government can borrow like it always has to meet it's financial obligations.

I think they should leave Medicare alone as seniors are loyal voters. Republicans if they were smart would eliminate part B premiums for votes and make it revenue neutral with reductions for family welfare programs like section 8 and education.

Medicaid block grant with no strings would be the best healthcare solution. They spent 565 billion dollars on it in 2016, they can adjust it for inflation (about 2% yearly) and divide it by the state's population.

For instance, a state like California would get about 60 billion in Medicaid block grant. A state like Nebraska would get like 4 billion. Seems fair to me.

That would leave states free to start their own innovative healthcare delivery programs and they would be accountable to their populations to deliver a good health system in relationship with the private/public hospitals.
