Selfish and self centered. Mother nature knew what is doing by limiting female fertility as a woman ages.

Despite obesity and other ills people are living much longer so I really don't see an issue with this. They'll be 30 when the mom is 80.

But then, I think giving up your kid for adoption is rather selfish. As is abortion.

No thank you. I had mine at 25 and now they are on their own and I am still young.

So do you feel the same way about other scientific advances. Birth control, Viagra, medical technology.
Per the article births for women 50 or over increased 0.1%. I haven't read any studies/statistics on the health risks or fatalities.
What about men who are fathers 50+. Same aging issues as women.

I've seen a growing trend, and I am one of the statistics, of grandparents raising their grandchildren. Given this I don't see how having children in your 40s=bad compared to having kids young and abandoning them for the grandparents to raise in their 50-60-70s.

If she'd done a better job, male fertility would be similarly limited.

Very good point. Why do girls have their menses at that age. Why do teens have raging hormones.
Mom was pregnant at 39, no fertility, had my brother at 40. Dad was 50 she insisted he get a vasectomy. LOL.

People are living longer every year. Stop being ageist. It's not the 50s anymore
