The Lt. Gov. is running for governor. It is purely a political stunt hoping to get the edge on his primary opponent. There is no need for NRA members to get a discount. Delta is now charging them the same fare are the regular public. Don't see what the problem is.

There is a de-commissioned air force base in Smyrna TN (suburb of Nashville) with a runway big enough for ANY plane to take off and land. There is a 747 sitting there right now. (Something to do with the nearby Nissan factory probably)

There are former military facilities near major population areas being under utilized as general aviation airports right now. Their runways are usually gigantic. Lots of them would gladly build a terminal for Delta to move their international hub into their area as a gold mine for the local economics. Is the state of Georgia ready to cut off it's nose to spite it's face? Are they ready to lose billions of dollars from the local economy just to kiss up to the gun lobby for some votes from the right-wing core? They better think about this really hard... provided the republicans there have enough of a brain between their ears which is highly questionable.

It is NOT uncommon for past rulings be overturned by newer courts..

Charleston SC airport could buy the golf course just to it's west side and expand for Delta. That golf course could be bought off to move. These kinds of options exist all over the southeast. The repubs in GA better watch their step.

I firmly believe that citizens have the right to own weapons.

However, people should take note as to how much power an organization like the NRA has over politicians. Trump said, referring to the NRA, "and you don't have to be afraid of them." Why should our elected officials be afraid of any group? Regardless, it is easy to see who is in control and if the NRA has this much power then what about big pharma, big agra, etc.?
It should be evident to voters that the people we elect are not in control. Do you really think the president of the US is in control. Check out the video.

If you want our schools to become a safe place for children instead of a war zone then require all elected officials, state and federal, to place their children in public schools.

The NRA owns these weak kneed politicians. Georgia has a lot to lose. This cowboy LT. Governor should be careful or he won’t get elected for dog catcher. Georgia also has a large movie industry and nobody said they have a lifetime contract to stay in Georgia. This crazy politician doesn’t make decisions for Delta. Most people have a problem with assault rifles being sold to kids.....

Where did I say that? All I have stated was that it is better to go for Twitter than dark money. I mean you Trumpster loved the Russian bots on Facebook and Twitter.

They are just being stupid and it could very well hurt them in the long-run.

Exactly, social media especially Twitter is important whether we talk real people or trolls and bots. I'm sorry that some people don't realize this.

I don't get why people realize the NRA's power through dark money. If this was Soros even trying to that, these conservatives would bitching to no end about it.

If you live in SC, you must be new. SC is even more pro-2nd amendment than Georgia. We even added an amendment to our state constitution about the right to hunt and fish because people were concerned one of these 'ban guns' movements could target hunting rifles. Add to that our castle doctrine and you have a very, very strong pro-2nd amendment state. Remember when the Sheriff of Charleston County said he would not uphold anything Obama did to try and ban guns via an EO? SC is the first who would likely cheer on GA with this move.

What is the difference between the NRA and any other organization that gives of money to politicians?

"Power" look at the unions.

It was reported, and the visitor logs proved, that the no.1 visitor to the Obama White House was the president of the AFL/CIO.

Were you OK with that?
