Anyway, so what. The financial crisis was a huge money-making opportunity for traders and anyone with the guts and know-how to play it.
Those other investors are not travelling the country denouncing wealth inequality.

This doesn't include Nancy's husband Paul Pelosi, a venture capitalist who's estimated net worth is over $300,000,000.00 dollars. Nothing like lecturing people about wealth inequality, the heartlessness, the disgust of it all, when you and your spouse are worth half a BILLION dollars.

That’s the thing that is so obnoxious about the Democratic Party today .
Hillary would do the same thing . Complain about the rich and wealthy and pretend like she was poor or middle class.

Trump is rich but he doesn’t act like he’s poor or middle class . He’s even written a book called “How to get rich”

The dems politicians like Pelosi and Clinton get rich but then put on this inauthentic front . Then they wonder why people view them as out of touch.

This is why Trump can get both the working class people in the rust belt and wealthy folks to admire him .
He’s not bsing them .

100%!

The crazy part is the left still thinks of Trump & the GOP as the party of the rich, the party of the corporations over the people, when the rich & corporate donations were massively in favor of Hillary & the D's, while Trump got money from the actual people.

The NeoLib hypocrisy is breathtaking. The left is now against populism, against tax cuts for the middle class, against pulling out of NAFTA, against an infrastructure bill, against civil liberties, in favor of wars, in favor of a new cold war with Russia, in favor of shipping our jobs overseas via trade deals, etc. etc.

As for the "crumbs" comments, she's right on that, too. Many rich people - like her - will stand to gain permanent tax benefits from the pay-day loan tax scam, while the working class will get crumbs for now with their benefits being temporary. You can shoot the messenger all you like, righties, but that doesn't mean the message isn't true.
Trump Org made money during the recession by picking up real estate on the cheap. This was not unique to Trump Org.

Some people strategically defaulted on their home loans.

Some people were in a position to take advantage of once in a lifetime opportunities to buy stocks.

Most people did not lose their jobs., including the “ working class”.

Most businesses did not fold.

This is not a Trump thread, it's a Pelosi thread. That said, Trump is not out there lamenting how disgusting & unfair it is that wealth inequality exists on our country. That's Nancy Pelosi doing that. Surely you have the integrity to admit when you leaders are being blatantly hypocritical?

Um, Trump is a staggering hypocrite. He claimed he "cared about American works" - lol - before handing out piles of money mostly to the rich.

If you want to claim BOTH parties are run by rich sell-outs, be my guest, because that is correct. But stop pretending Trump is honest. He's the bigger liar and slimebag politician on the national stage.

Please. Both parties are corporate sell-outs, but the right tops that off with a heaping of bigotry, theocracy, and willful ignorance.

Both parties will sell you out, but the far-right will also want to monitor your bedroom for the "wrong" kind of sex, your temple for the "wrong" kind of religion, and so forth.

It should be obvious that while neither party cares about us, the far-right is far more dangerous.
