Angry US death toll in Iraq war hits 4,000

Quote:
BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb killed four U.S. soldiers in Baghdad on Sunday, the military said, pushing the overall American death toll in the five-year war to at least 4,000. The grim milestone came on a day when at least 61 people were killed across the country.
George Bush is doing a hell of a job facilitating the the deaths of US troops and Iraqi civilians.

That is only counting the US deaths directly attributable to the battlefield. There are many, many more deaths after the veterans get home due to battlefield related trauma.

Then there are the Iraqi deaths or don't they count?

They never seem to...
You never hear any concrete numbers, the estimates vary wildly.

Exactly !! Who among us can question the numbers and prove it? We are forced to listen to whatever this corrupt crooked lying govt tells us..........but we do not have to believe it.

There could very well be double that 4000 for all we know. And all that blood is on bushys hands. I bet the "The Decider" sleeps well at night knowing he killed all those Americans.

When I was a Platoon Sargent with the 4th Infantry Division in Viet-Nam (1967-68), it was SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to over-count enemy casualties and under-count US casualties. The true extent of Iraqi casualties will never be known.

So we have an average of 2 people dying a day in a WAR? How do we put up with such high casulties? Oh no.. We should be marching in the street..

How many people did you guys assume were going to die in a war?
Whats the number of "acceptable" casulties in a war?

I think some people forget that in a war.. people die, and in this case, it was 4,000 individuals who chose to go to war., we dont have a draft.

Sorry but thats a stupid argument.
Bush was not "The Decider".. Congress is/was, without their decision, he has no legal authority to invade.
Bush is not killing Americans, (unless your a conspiracy nutcase who thinks he planned 911).

How come you people never complain about all the Service people that get killed when ther is no war? look at chart crs7 Between 1980 and and 1989 over 20 thousand people lost their lives in the service of this country. No declared war at that time so you don't care about them? The Military is a dangerous place war or not. People die every time a battle group goes to sea....

If it's 4,000 10,000 or 1 we must remember the screwed up policies. Once this "WAR" is over let this be a history lession, NO MORE NATION BUILDING. THAT INCLUDES THE NEXT DAM LIBERAL DUFAR miltiary adventure or bosnia, somila or anything else. Time bring all our troops home, close all the bases around the world and regroup and figure out our place in the world. Also get the hell out of the UN.

And without his final say so Congress's authorization is meaningless.

Or does Commander in Chief have some obscure meaning in BushSpeak?
