I love this. Companies continue to be careless about our information because there are no truly onerous penalties.

I wonder if that bumbling idiot ever heard of the concept of cleaning things up at home before pointing fingers?

Marine breach exposes personal information of over 20,000

Quote:
Sensitive information concerning thousands of U.S. service members and civilians was compromised when a spreadsheet containing their personal data was sent to the wrong email distribution list this week.

About 21,426 people, including Marines, sailors and civilians, had their personally identifiable and banking information exposed as a result of their information being shared in an unencrypted email that was erroneously sent to the wrong recipients Monday morning, the Marine Corps Times reported Wednesday.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I understand you.

Are you terming Elizabeth Warren a "bumbling idiot" because she chose a target that doesn't happen to be the target you would have chosen? Perhaps she felt that the military has enough governmental fingers in the pie to tackle its own mess. And perhaps you haven't noticed that her tendency is to champion consumers.

I certainly can't fault Warren for going after a source that jeopardized the information of over 1,000,000 people, rather than a breach of 20,000.

I'm terming her that because shes an opportunistic hack that knows how to manipulate using populist garbage, she is no different than Trump, just a different extreme end of the spectrum.

OPM (Office of Personnel Management) had their data breached. Not once, but twice, in 2014 and again in 2015.

Note that OPM files contain digitized copies of finger-prints.

Talk about being scared.

I fail to see why speaking out against a company that is carelessly endangering private information of over 1,000,000 people would be considered acting as an opportunistic hack.

I hope to hear if you're still so nonchalant about it if your own information is stolen and used in ways that horrify you.

Because right wing media inhalers have never heard anything other than hate for Warren from their hammerheaded heroes, so they can't expect to be able to formulate a rational opinion about anything she supports or represents regardless of its own merits.

Yes there have been breaches in government agencies and many companies but this is different. Equifax CEO's knew of the breach and claimed all was good while they sold off their holdings.
