Here’s the part that baffles me. Is America an “exceptional” country, with particular moral goodness beyond that of any other nation? If so, then it must be held to a higher standard of selflessness, openness and altruism. Or, if America is going to assert its national interest, just as any other nation would, then American exceptionalism would have to be rescinded. We can’t have it both ways. We can’t be the shining city on the hill – behind impenetrable walls. We can have walls, sure – but then we forego the shining-city moniker.

They should have an ICE station at every hospital. Check out with ICE on the way out. That will end the abuse.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. Ridiculous! We allow in over 1 million legal immigrants a year but since our southern border has been invaded illegally by the millions and we are taking steps to secure it that means we are no longer have moral goodness? WTH kind of reasoning is that?

Oh, stop with this! God said to obey the laws of the land and not take from others what doesn't belong to you. He also said to obey his commandments which illegal aliens don't. We have no moral or Biblical obligation to embrace foreign law breakers who had no respect for us or our laws.

"When" does not mean deport anyone in need of "emergency" care before they get treated. Spin it all you like it's what pro-illegals like you do.

Why don't they check immigration status at Emergency Rooms and have ICE stationed at hospitals?

Because we are not Russia (yet).

This some absurd linguistic twisting - kind of like your post claiming that no one is proposing having ICE teams stationed at hospitals when the very title of this thread does so. "When" suggests contemporaneity, not something that happens afterwards (hint: the word for that would be "after").

At the moment they can’t. Hospitals are treated as a sensitive no go area for ICE
