I honestly don't care what people call themselves. I don't know why it bothers anyone else if people wanna be what they wanna be as long as it's not forced on others.
Because it IS being forced on others, kids in elementary schools are being taught boys can be girls and girls can be boys.
If you as a grownup want to dress like a pickle and run around the neighborhood go for it. But to tell everyone else pickles are normal, teach 5 yr olds pickles are normal and bring books to school that the teacher reads to class declaring pickles are normal before you reveal yourself as a pickle?? That is where the issue is.
Right wing media gluttons need to get out and see the world and spend less time with their media idols like Crowder, who feed them things to get incensed about that have little if any effect on their own actual lives.
Wait till your 5 yr old boy comes home from school and declares he is a girl because of book teacher read.
Then make statements about how it isn't affecting other people.

- "Gender is a social construct" = somewhat true, in the sense of gender roles, etc. Boys play with tanks, girls play with dolls, and how dare you do anything different.
- "Transgender" = a person who feels more comfortable in the body and possibly role of the opposite sex.
They in no way "cancel each other out," and I'm honestly disappointed in the half-baked reasoning attempting to "proof" such a thing. Absurd threads like this are why the far-right is so out of touch with reality at this point in this nation. Oh, please. If social pressure could force people to change their gender identities and sexuality, there would be no gay or bisexual people. There also would be no people into older women/men, heavier women/men, etc. It would be models only, one allowable sexual position, and that's it.
Take a look at the world around and how sex - straight, traditional sex - is used to sell everything. Look at how it is portrayed in entertainment - it is everywhere. If all of that social pressure wasn't enough to change gays straight and turn our whole nation into bodybuilders and bikini models, than there is no way reading some book to kids about how some people may be transgendered is going to change your kid's self identity.
You're more likely to have your son come home and tell you he wants to be a soldier killing alien monsters vs. a girl, and yet we laugh that off as "kids will be kids."
