Actually what they have done is "recalibrated" their position on the Constitution; i.e., they don't support it. Why should such a company be given any tax breaks?
The NRA isn't the enemy here. The NRA created the NICS system; but 38 states don't fully comply with it, which allows millions of people who should not have guns to obtain them legally. Who's at fault? Not the NRA!
Who's at fault for the madman that shot up the school in FL? Not the NRA or it's members. The failure of the local Sheriff's Department has become obvious, as well as a failure of the FBI to investigate reports submitted on this shooter. This is a failure of government. How can we trust government to protect us (even if they were doing their job, it takes 20 minutes for a response to a 911 call. Ample time for someone to be killed before help arrives). This is why there should be no age limitation on gun ownership, nor any ban on the most popular rifle for home defense, the AR-15, which was designed for the civilian market FIRST (which CNN and others don't tell you). And "AR" does NOT stand for "Assault Rifle," which the Media wants you to believe. There is no such thing as an "assault rifle."
I don't know if this will spur Delta to relocate but fuel is a huge cost for airlines. I don't know if it will re-embrace the NRA but I think not. Most likely it will leave the gov. and legislators with egg on their faces.

The Constitution mandates everyone to support NRA? I must have missed that part.
I still think this kind of action must be illegal. If it were challenged in court I believe it would be struck down, especially if the company has made investment decisions based upon the promised and expected tax level.
Totally inappropriate to use tax law to force a company to donate to a members-only private group, or punish them when they stop. Besides, most the members do not reside in the state.
Also inappropriate to force a company to support a lobby that does not represent their industry. The NRA is both of these.
This is basically extortion.
The governor has to sign it, but ironically he was also pushing for the tax breaks for Delta.

We are talking about the GA Constitution not the US Constitution, and apparently the GA Constitution doesn't allow the sort of tax break that Delta was granted. Looks as if they interpret it to enforce it now.
Well if you want to call 10s of millions people that you don't know, "rednecks" that is your issue. Not theirs.
I was born in Atlanta, have family all over Decatur, Lawrenceville, Little Five Points, Marietta, Alpharetta and Duluth (Dacula/Hog Mountain), as well as escapees who are up in Juno and Big Canoe and over in Sandy Cross about halfway between Toccoa and Athens. I don't know all 5.8 million (official in greater metropolitan), but I have certainly met enough of them to have a pretty good idea what they are like. I have also seen the people they elect, which is a dead giveaway to the character of the denizens.
However, in all fairness, I'll be down again the first week of May, and I'll ask around and report back to you. Put it on your calendar.
ATLANTA — Georgia lawmakers approved a bill on Thursday that stripped out a tax break proposal highly coveted by Delta Air Lines — the most stinging punishment that America’s pro-gun forces have leveled so far on one of the many corporations recalibrating their positions on firearms after the Florida high school massacre.
"Actions have consequences" is something the Left likes to say.
