- shortest tenure on the CMA Foundation Board. Turns out that being an anti-LGBT bigot makes you kinda unpopular these days, even in country music.

Of course he's quick to point out that he's actually the real victim. Bullies feel so sorry for themselves when the tables are turned.

Speaking as a libertarian conservative, I don't think much of Mike Huckabee; he's an absolutist who won't abandon ideas which can't stand up to a critique of simple reason.

But Mr. Huckabee didn't pick the fight here; it was started by the usual clique of LGBT militants who think the sun should rise and set by their own set of absolutes -- and are only interested in bonding with other misfits in the pursuit of power in order to force those absolutes upon anyone who disagrees with them.

Mike Huckabee is one of the worst of the high-profile homophobes and simultaneously has always had a huge persecution complex. He picked the fight with the LGBT community. He is also a dangerous theocrat. Mike Huckabee represents what is wrong with the GOP today.

Nah, they just don't want to associate with someone who has used (or at least tried to use) his considerable power to make them second-rank citizens. Can't say I blame them.

Trumpers and bigots like Huckabee deserve to be treated as persona non grata by society.

Yes, because we all know that Huckabee and his ilk would have been completely cool with someone that compared Christian relationships to incest, said that Christians should not be allowed to adopt children and supports laws that would legalize the right of businesses to refuse to provide goods and service to Christians.

I don't know much about Mike Huckabee, but Sarah Sanders is the smartest female in America or 2nd smartest.

Don't forget that Huckabee attended a "religious freedom" conference in 2015 where the preacher advocated the death penalty for homosexuality. Huckabee spoke at the conference. He is definitely more than your average run-of-the-mill homophobic evangelical.
