Exactly why does the correspondent quoted above apparently believe that "idiots" and "untrained people" are wandering around with "automatic" weapons? As you no doubt are aware, in most cases, of course, that would be illegal as a matter of federal law (barring full compliance with a rigorous regulatory process already in place), and may further be illegal as a matter of state law depending on the state in question.

So what is this correspondent actually talking about, Perfesser? Could it be he/she simply doesn't know the difference between a firearm capable of fully automatic fire and one that is merely a semi-automatic? What is the deal here, Perfesser?
Good question. I'm not a psychologist, nor do I know that poster, but I was a gunsmith.

Did you have a question about firearms?

Trump has had one or more armed bodyguards, most of his adult life.

The Parkland father who had buried his daughter who was invited to attend Trump’s Listening Session remarked how when he attended the pre-Listening Session meeting at the Department of Education how the lobby was protected by armed security who accompanied all guests on the elevator.

This is fairly standard protocol at all Federal Government buildings in DC.

Prior to 1983, there were no metal detectors at the entryway to the Capital. No one was asked for ID.

That should clear it up, as those guards are all trained professionals and law enforcement folks.
Glad I could help.
So if someone gets training with guns, it's OK? No gun control needed?

Yeah I thought so.

Non-cops are better trained than cops.
