Kobe didn't rape Kate (her name is public knowledge as it was published in print by the now defunct Rocky Mountain News).
Now he's still a scumbag for cheating on his wife with her, but as far as I know, especially with what I'm about to say, it was consensual.
I lived in Avon for a bit before moving to Denver, and was there when this all went down. Kate and I had the same circle of friends, and we knew each other--but just casually. My roommate at the time worked with Kate at the Cordillera, and let's just say we were aware of her "reputation" there. Just leave it at that.
People forget that her two closest friends pretty much disowned her after the accusations came out. It's pretty much impossible to find it online, but her best friend Laie, who is about the sweetest girl you'll ever want to meet, gave a few interviews about how Kate was dedicating her life to sleeping with as many celebrities as she could. It wasn't widely reported. My former roommate--who I still talk to on a regular basis--pretty much knows what went down.

I also don't see how some on here can claim she made up the rape when the physical evidence shows otherwise and Kobe himself comes up with a 'safe' statement about how he can see her point of view.
Totally agree Dave, I saw the Weight of Water and it was ok, nothing spectacular???? I was shocked when they announced it? Yes, the remake of the 1940's facilities was interesting, and as they probably were, but, the rest of it? Lets put it this way, I'd not watch it again....
Never thought about it that way but yes, I believe Hollywood is dying.
