There have been presidents whom I might have thought, "Pity they can't serve one more term," but in reality, I wouldn't want that, and I especially would not want one for life. Even if they're good at the job, things happen--Reagan, for example, was doing well enough that in his re-election, he won 49 out of 50 states, but towards the end, he was succumbing to Alzheimer's.
Too many issues for my taste with such a notion, even *if* I like the President in question.
Reagan was not diagnosed with Alzheimer's until he was out of office 5 years.
If you don't believe that list, it begs the question "Where do you get your news"? All of those stories have been reported and fact checked by every reliable news outlet in the country for over a year.

Trump is just a symptom of the greed and dumbing-down disease that has gripped the USA. A healthy and well informed nation would have affordable healthcare and higher education for all and would prosper from diversity. The radical right wing and the current GOP crime syndicate needs to be relegated to the dustbin of history asap if the grand experiment of our democracy is ever going to function the way it was intended to again. The middle class will completely cease to exist if the GOP and their sociopathic greedy machinations and policies that created and enabled a Trump monster, are not kicked to the curb once and for all.

It is just the liberal media trying to twist things out of proportion. What I am reading into it is that Trump thinks there are some good aspects to having a leader for a longer time than a couple of terms, for example, when you have a good leader.
And it was probably just a lighthearted remark. It is not like he is trying to change the system, which if you were to ask him he would say is pretty good the way it is.
