When people's civil rights are threatened by emotional nutcases, they turn to the organization that has been most effective in protecting those civil rights.

We'da thunk it, that's why we belong to those organizations and encourage others to do so. If they can take away one of our civil liberties they will eventually take them all. Make no mistake about it those who wish to abolish our civil liberties are statists to the core and only believe in the absolute power of the state of which they control. But the 2nd Amendment has to be the first to go, it is the statist's worst enemy and fear as it was intended to be.

Just seems like common sense... something we know the left doesn't seem to have.
Both have had record sales the past 10 years, and has to do with more people realizing they can protect themselves and politics.
The BIG LIE the Media, and Democrats push is that the NRA is a Gun Manufacturers lobby. No, it is a Gun OWNER'S lobby. It lobbies for the law abiding citizen to retain their natural rights.
That miserable lie is getting so old...it's the gun grabbers who don't give a hoot about dead children. They only care about taking guns away...they dance on children's graves for the opportunity to make their case.
If it was REALLY about the children they'd go after the number one cause of death, then the second...not the eighth or tenth...

Correct, they don't care how many children die from gun toting robbers, etc.
Tin foil hat time perhaps, but you put your name on that list and they've got you on record being an "enemy of the state", "rebel insurgency" or some other such nonsense. Think about it. The 5 million or so NRA members are a small minority of the US population and "see here folks, these are your troublemakers! They should be dealt with right?"
Could you please expand on that. It seems like a threat or at least a challenge.
