We'da thunk it, that's why we belong to those organizations and encourage others to do so. If they can take away one of our civil liberties they will eventually take them all. Make no mistake about it those who wish to abolish our civil liberties are statists to the core and only believe in the absolute power of the state of which they control. But the 2nd Amendment has to be the first to go, it is the statist's worst enemy and fear as it was intended to be.

Quote:
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. Their very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be ‘cured’ against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.
—C. S. Lewis, “God in the Dock”

Follow the money.

The NRA doesn't sell guns and ammo.

Both have had record sales the past 10 years, and has to do with more people realizing they can protect themselves and politics.

Just seems like common sense... something we know the left doesn't seem to have.

The BIG LIE the Media, and Democrats push is that the NRA is a Gun Manufacturers lobby. No, it is a Gun OWNER'S lobby. It lobbies for the law abiding citizen to retain their natural rights.

"it's the gun grabbers who don't give a hoot about dead children."

Correct, they don't care how many children die from gun toting robbers, etc.

So you're saying that if guns were outlawed these robbers would turn theirs in, OR, just take advantage of those that did?

I don't recognize your name , so I will cut you some slack.

Do NOT "assume" to know what others ar saying by trying to read between the lines.

I do NOT know how you came up with your "interpretation from what I said in my post.

I AM a HUGE supporter of the 2nd amendment.

So, NO I am NOT saying what you think I said.

Could you please expand on that. It seems like a threat or at least a challenge.
Update: I now understand your angle! You are a patriot.
