Guess the folks in RI won't get to watch any more Stormy Daniels vids without forking up some cash. Guns and porn. Make America horny again.

the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites.

vs
Government passing a bill charging people before watching porn "ISPs would have to hand the money they collect over to the state so it can "help fund the operations......."

Isn't it different that government forces everyone vs an ISP charging it's own customers?

I never worry too much about unworkable solutions. I worry more about politicians that suggest something like this not understanding it's not workable.

20 bucks? That's cheap. Trump paid 130k for his porn.

Personally I think the R.I. plan is unworkable.
Aren't some "con" states trying to outlaw it totally?

I mean - they actually created and signed legislation on it!

On the subject, why the heck would any pol object to standard old-fashioned porn? I can see some concerns at the fringes of the subject, but isn't this as American as Apple Pie, Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler?

Crazy talk. I'll have to look up the RI thing because it doesn't make sense....maybe just a few rogue pols?

There is a little something to the fact that my 2nd grade grandkids can accidentally run across a lot of the stuff - so I guess I'd be down with some way to make certain it isn't available to those under....say....12 years old. But I'm not sure how you could do it. The last thing we'd want is for any "big data" to know our sexual preferences....or anything about us.

But, then again, in 1990 when I visited Denmark nudie mags with full exposure were on the magazine rack right in the lobby of a fancy hotel (where anyone could see them)...

Maybe we're all just too prudish?

And what is pornography exactly? For political and social pornography, you just have to come here.

I think that's a fantastic idea.

If they can levy "sin" taxes on alcohol and tobacco, they can put a tax on pornography.

I would go a step further and require people to apply for a license that must be renewed annually for $250.
